Evangelist Danjuma Goshwen
Fwenji of God’s Grace Divine Mission on Friday denied committing adultery with
Mrs Joy Dilkon, adding that he was equally not responsible for the problems
between Leo Dilkon and his wife.
Ailment that defied medical
solution
Fwenji further stated that his
first encounter with joy was in 2006 when an elder brought her to his ministry
because she had an ailment that defied medical solution and after praying for
her she was healed. He said he became aware of the Dilkons’ problem for the
first time in 2012 at a meeting in Aguldi on invitation by elders of COCIN
Aguldi.
He said thereafter, Joy was
stripped of her duty as an Usher and also asked to stop coming to the Ministry
when he learnt it was the reason of her problem with her husband
Evang Fwenji who is PW 10 made
this submission while being cross-examined by barrister Francis Okafor, counsel
to Hon Leo Dilkon, who is the respondent and cross petitioner in a divorce case
filed by his wife, Joy seeking for a degree of dissolution of their marriage
before Justice David Mann of High Court 3 Jos.
14 other husbands’ accusation
Fwenji also denied that 14 other
husbands also accused him of criminal enticement and that he hired a SAN to
threaten them, explaining that he only hired the said SAN to file a suit
against a magazine for defamation of character because the magazine lied
against him.
Legally married to his divorcee
wife
Evangelist Fwenji said that he
was legally married to his current wife, Deborah whom her former husband, Hon
Mohammed Onawo divorced on 9th August, 2007. He fell in love, made
all the preparations and necessary arrangements as well as meeting the
requirement demanded by COCIN rules and regulations involving intending couple
and wedding proper all within 21 days.
Emmaus Bible College, Northern
Ireland.
The man of God told the Court
that he attended Emmaus Bible College, Northern Ireland in Europe by
correspondence. But when it was put to him that no such school existed, he said
he had his certificate and convocation pictures which he had snapped with his
colleagues during a graduation that was conducted in Yelwa Shendam, in Plateau
State, Nigeria.
Multiple signatures
On the allegation that he had
multiple signatures, Fwenji Further told Justice Mann that he has two
signatures and that became necessary when he was inflicted by whitlow on his
right hand which forced him to make use of his left hand.
A fake man of God and home
breaker
On the allegation that he is a
fake man of God and home breaker, he vehemently denied the allegations, saying
that he was just being persecuted.
Justice Mann had earlier ruled
against the submission of two documents which Barr Okafor sought to tender,
which included a hand book containing rules and regulations involving COCIN marriage
and Evang Fwenji’s CV as downloaded from the Internet.
The case was further adjourned
to 16th December, 2016 for continuation of cross examination.
