The Country Director of a Non Governmental Organization ( NGO), Theobath Global Foundation, Apostle Theophilus Oloche Ebonyi, said that the NGO has the mandate from God to eradicate poverty and wipe away tears from the eyes of men.
Speaking to African Drum in Jos on Friday, the Senior Pastor, Faith on the Rock Ministry and President, Shalom Praise Multipurpose Cooperative Society said the ultimate motive of the NGO was to empower individuals and ensure that everyone is independent and not depending on another. “Theobath is an NGO created by God Himself with a mandate to wipe away tears from the eyes of men and to eradicate poverty. Our slogan is ' Crushing down the world of poverty' and the aim is to ensure that if not 100%, 99% of Nigerians should have money in their hands and do things for themselves and not depending on another. Nigerians are intelligent, Nigerians are skillful and what they just need is the support and if God has given us the privilege to support Nigerians, we would support them in totality", Apostle Ebonyi said.
Prophet Johnson Oparanoze
The Apostle believed that if an average Nigerian is empowered and have something doing, it would go a long way in minimizing the ills in the society like, corruption, killings, kidnapping and other forms of criminality
He said that money given to beneficiaries by the NGO is grant and not loan stressing that all one needs do to qualify for the grant was to identify with the NGO and have its identification card which beneficiaries would use to access the funds.
Apostle Ebonyi said so far, the project has been a success. “It has been a success story because we are in every state of the 36 in the federation", he said.
He advised the youths to believe in themselves and remain focus adding that nothing can shift the mandate of God from any man's life, "but if you are not focused, you would walked pass where your blessings are" said  Ebonyi.
Apostle Theophilus said he was in Jos on invitation by Prophet Johnson Oparanoze of Jesus Divine Life Renewal Ministry International, Anguldi Jos South.
Also speaking to African Drum, Prophet Oparanozie stated that it was a 3 Day program beginning from 12th-14th March, 2020 with a theme; Unmerited Favour" to be held at the Ministry Auditorium, off Anguldi junction after Army checking point Vom road, behind MDG's building Kwata-Zawan, Jos South.
He showered encomium on Apostle Ebonyi over his zeal for the gospel and passion towards eradicating poverty in the country.
