A Presidential aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has said that any person aspiring to rule Nigeria must have a track record of accommodating all, irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliation.

Kwankwaso made this statement on Thursday in Jos, the Plateau State capital while addressing delegates preparatory to the party premises that will produce candidates who will fly the party’s flag during the 2019 general elections.

The former Governor of Kano State stated that he was able to transformed Kano  because he brought qualified people on board irrespective of ethnic or religious background. He said that during his tenure, education was free while primary school pupils were fed and also given uniforms at least twice a year by the Kano State government. He said that the payment of teachers and other civil servants salary was prompt and effected on or before 25th of every month. Kwankwaso further stated that about twenty one thousand teachers were trained up to NCE level while super structures and educational institutions were also built during his tenure.

The aspirant said that attention was also given to agriculture and health sectors further stressing that all these were achieved without borrowing from within or outside the country but from the subvention and internal generated revenue (IGR). Kwankwaso said that Nigeria needs such a detribalized and prudent manager to lead the country.

He decried the way and manner the current government has neglected its primary responsibility thereby placing the citizens at the receiving end.
Responding, Hon. D.T. Sango, the Plateau State Chairman of the PDP described Kwankwaso as a friend of Plateau people. Sango said that when a motion for the establishment of North-East Development Commission (for the purpose of rehabilitation) owing to ravage caused by the Boko Haram insurgency, Rabiu Kwankwaso insisted Kano and Plateau States were included.
The Chairman further stressed that nothing can separate Kano and Plateau States because of the strong relationship that was entrenched by late Solomon Lar and late Abubakar Rimi.

He urged the delegates to vote a person that knows Nigeria very well during the party primaries.
