Addressing Newsmen in his office on Tuesday, Chairman of Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) Fabian Ntung however said that the elections will only be conducted in 13 out of the 17 Local Governments in the State citing insecurity.
According to the PLASIEC Chairman, the Local Governments are; Jos North, Jos South, Barkin Ladi and Riyom stating that decision to isolate these Local Governments was based on security advice.
Ntung said, “We were strongly advised against conducting elections in these four Councils for now”.
