MY HEART BLEEDS FOR PLATEAU STATE – KEMI NSHE

A gubernatorial
aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Hon. Nicholas
Kemi Nshe said when he looks at the current situation of Plateau State, his
heart bleeds. He said that the current leadership of the State under Simon
Lalong who is from Shendam has failed, consequently he has declared his
interest to contest so as to redeem the image of Shendam Local Government and
reposition Plateau State in a manner that will be the pride of its citizens.
Nshe made this
statement at the PDP State Secretariat along Joseph Gomwalk Way, Jos recently.
The aspirant called on the delegates and the Party EXCO to allow Shendam Local
Government produces the next Governor for the next four years in the spirit of
fairness.
The former labour
leader in the State further told the PDP EXCO that he deserved to be given the
mandate to govern the State because he made tremendous sacrifice for the Party
in addition to his marvelous performance both as a Union Leader and as Chairman
of Shendam Local Government Council for many years.
Kemi Nshe stated that
all the aspirants for the governorship were highly qualified but one thing that
stood him out from others was his verse knowledge of Plateau State adding that
there was no village in the State that he did not know. He also described
himself as a resource manager taking into cognizance his prudence habbit.
He further stated that
he had character, integrity and that he was morally sound which were all
attributes of a good leader.
The aspirant also
described himself as very simple saying that his house was always open 24 hours
for visitors. He said that throughout the years he served as Local Government
Chairman, he choose not to enjoy the luxury of both official vehicle and
resident, instead, he stayed in his personal house and drove himself.
Responding, the State
Chairman of the PDP Hon. D.T. Sango acknowledged Nshe’s capacity and pedigree
as well as his sacrifice for the Party. He however promised a level playing
ground for all aspirants stating that the days of imposition are since gone.
