According to NAPSS President, we are here not just to re-affirm our support but to support a course for a positive change on the Plateau and for the people of Plateau State comes 2019 because we have noticed there is need for a positive change”. He also believed that you don’t just chant the drum of change vocally without taking some practical steps. “So, we are here to re-affirm our total support to his efforts aimed at rebuilding Plateau State and restore its lost glory. The award is meant to spur him to doing more.”

Responding, Dr. Bawa expressed delight for the honor saying that it was his nature to serve humanity and that he does that not expecting any reward or to be applauded by anybody. He said the award will definitely  spur him into doing more adding that it was surprising that the little contributions he made to the society unpublicized were somehow still noticed by the society.

Bawa said he considered the award special because it was coming from the youths, more so, students who are leaders of tomorrow.
