Governor Simon Lalong has described the Late Alh Sale Hassan as a peace maker whose wise counsel contributed immensely to the peace building efforts in the State.
Lalong stated this during a condolence visit to the family of Late Alh Sale Hassan in Jos.

 A statement by the Plateau state commissioner of Information and Communication, Yakubu Dati stated that Gov Lalong said the loss was a great loss to the government and people of Plateau State saying "the State will miss the wise counsel of the elder-statesman whose legacy of peaceful coexistence remains indelible."

In his response, Alh Ibrahim Sale Hassan, son of the deceased appreciated the Governor for consoling the family at it's time of great grief.
He commended Gov Lalong for his efforts at peace building adding that after over a decade of unrest, his tenure brought an unprecedented peace for three and half years, until the recent unfortunate events in some parts of the state.

The Gov was accompanied by Prof Sonni Tyodden, Deputy Governor, Members of the State Executive Council, Hon Rufus Bature, Secretary to the State Government and Chief John Dafaan Chief of Staff amongst others senior government officials.
Late Sale Hassan died in Jos on Wednesday 11th July was buried according to Islamic rites.
