PLSG COMMISERATES WITH NUJ,
INDEPENDENT PUBLISHERS ON THE DEATH OF MEMBER.

The death of
Mallam Auwal Ahmed, publisher of Global News has been described as great
shock to the media community in Plateau State. The Plateau State
Commissioner of Information and Communication, Yakubu Dati stated this in a
condolence visit to the family residence today, July 13, 2018 in Jos.
Dati
described the late publisher as a consummate media practitioner whose medium
promoted peaceful coexistence. He further conveyed the sympathy of the Governor
of Plateau State, Rt.Hon Simon Lalong to the immediate family, the Nigerian
Union of Journalists (NUJ) and the Independent Publishers and the entire media
community.

The
Commissioner was accompanied by senior staff in the Ministry including Ishaya Turba,
Theodorah Damulak and Semshak, Directors of Information, Administration and Finance
respectively as well as as Racheal Dayigil amongst others.
