The Plateau Central Zone Senatorial aspirant under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Mr. Isaac Wadak has said that what prompted him into contesting was to add value to politics in the zone and by extension, the whole state.  Speaking to our man toady in Jos, Wadak said “I have gone into the contest to add value to politics in the zone and to also serve as a variety to the electorates to enable them make a choice from numerous contestants”

The retired permanent Secretary in the Plateau State Civil Service added that he is also in the contest to make sure that power returns to the people in the spirit of the founding fathers of democracy unlike now that power belongs to just a clique and if one does not belong to that clique, is completely out of the scheme of things.

“We are thinking of people oriented democracy where the inputs of the people will give birth to all the laws, motions and resolutions unlike what is obtainable now where constituents are not involved in law making process which ultimately affects them” he said.

The Chartered Accountant further said that the people will also be involved in the building of projects across the zone.  According to him. “You need to know exactly what the people want. As a matter of fact, they should come up with the blue print of their immediate needs to enable you prioritise. Projects to communities must be in tune with the immediate needs of these communities and that is exactly what we intend to achieve when given the mandate”.

Wadak said that it is high time we do away with politics of sentiments and concentrate on issues.
