18TH DECEMBER, 2017

PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with members and the General Overseer of the Word Bible Church, Prophet Julius Kumoluyi on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Church and reiterated that Nigeria was out of recession.

President Buhari in a message to the Church also urged Nigerians to keep faith with his administration, saying the country’s revived economy will soon bring reliefs to the people.

In the message signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina and read to the congregation at the grand finale of the week-long celebration, the president said the citizenry would be better for it when the positive impacts of the turn around in the economy started manifesting.

On the occasion of the church’s 25th anniversary, which coincided with its 10th National convention with the theme: “The Invisible God” President Buhari also thanked Prophet Kumoluyi and the church for their prayers for him during the period of his sickness.

Commending the man of God for his humility, integrity and prayer life, the President described him as a religious leader “known for his love for God and passion for souls”, saying “he is a rare gem as a Shepherd of the church.”

He restated the commitment of the federal government to the wellbeing and welfare of the Nigeria people.

Speaking to newsmen after the event held at the church’s headquarters in Ketu, Lagos State, Prophet Kumoluyi said, “25 years down the line, God had been faithful to the church and the country at large.”

Prophet Kumoluyi, who disclosed that the church has many challenges to contend in the last 25 years of its existence, said “God has been sustaining me and the entire congregation in an unusual way.
“It gladdens my heart to witness the 25th anniversary of the World Bible Church. Many storms here and there over the years but we have been able to weather the storms through the grace and mercy of God.”

On his assessment of over two year’s President Buhari led administration, the man of God commended the government’s efforts at ensuring peace and stability in the country.
