ADP BASSA CHAPTER INAUGURATED.

The EXCO of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Bassa
Chapter was inaugurated Thursday. Performing the inauguration, Hon. Monday
Yusuph Dilas, the Zonal Chairman (Northern Zone) who represented the State
Chairman of the Party Chief Amb. Andrew Nanyah Daman JP urged EXCO members to
work hard towards achieving the ideals and principles of the Party to provide
credible alternative platform for the people of Nigeria.
He said that some of the basic fundamentals that
distinct the ADP from other political parties is that the ADP is a youth and
women driven political party; it is an all-inclusive political party and that
the Party also believes in supremacy of good governance. According to Dilas,
some of the major selling points of the ADP is that it uses Option A4 style of
party primaries and says no to delegate system of primaries.
He added that the Party reserves 50% of elective and
appointive positions to youths and women and that the ADP also believes in
internal democracy and hates impunity and imposition, nepotism, ethnicity and
favouritism.
The Zonal Chairman further said that the ADP
believes in a reformed security architecture with a totally new security consciousness.
In his good will message, Dr. Daniel Kokong, the
National Welfare Secretary of the Party said that the ADP is well positioned to
take over power from the ruling APC and urged the EXCO to be diligent and
highly committed to ensure success.
Those that also gave their good will messages are;
Hon. Danjuma Auta, the State Publicity Secretary of the Party, Elder Anga Asukutuk,
Dr. Anonoh, Elder Gideon Asukutuk and Elder Monday Kapalu.

Speaking on behalf of the EXCO members, Hon. Sunday
Aku the LGA Chairman thanked officials of the Party for finding them worthy to
serve in various capacities and promised that they will work hard to ensure the
success of the Party in the state beginning with the anticipated Local
Government Elections.
