The Berom Traditional Council and the Nzem Berom Central Planning Committee welcomed all invited guests to its 2022 festival of arts and culture holding Friday 20 May, 2022.

A statement by the Media and Publicity Committee however stated that being a non partisan activity, politicians and aspirants are to note that open campaigning and flagging of banners of whatever nature at the venue will not be allowed.
The statement, made on behalf of the Central Planning Committee strongly advised  politicians to reign in their supporters not to give any political coloration to the event.

Nzem Berom is an annual cultural festival. The 2022 activities marking the event kick-started few days ago with Jummat prayers and special Church service respectively.  The Gbong Gwom Jos, Da Jacob Gyang Buba during the Church service to usher in the annual festival had called on Berom to remain steadfast in service to God and humanity.

The Gbong Gwom Jos and Chairman Plateau State Council of Chiefs and Emirs further urged them to obey and pray for constituted authority at all levels.

Muslim members of the Berom ethnic group had their jumma'at prayers last Friday at  Bukuru Central mosque with Jibrin Gyang,  one of the leaders of the Berom Muslim community in Plateau State who said there was respect for religious diversity among the Berom people.
