A 400 level student of the Special Education Department of the University of Jos, Miss, MididaJabani suffered marchet cuts this afternoon as she was allegedly attacked by suspected Hausa youths in Ubya- Ayima village, Anaguta, Jos North Local Government Area. Miss Jabani as African Drum learnt is an off Campus student with the prestigious institution.

The attack came few minutes after the Anaguta community brief the press on an attack on the community by suspected hoodlums on Saturday in the guise of protesting the demarcation of land by the authority of the University of Jos.
Miss Jabani in her struggle was able to tell African Drum that the attack was unprovoked. "I was on my way when suddenly a boy holding marchet blocked my way and hit me with it on my right hand which almost removed my finger".
The student who was seen crying profusely as she was being rushed to a hospital for medical attention.

Meanwhile, security operatives who were alerted arrived the scene immediately and arrested two suspects who simply gave their names as Yusuf and Zakariya.
All effort to speak with the PPRO, Plateau state Command before press time proved abortive as he couldn't pick a phone call from our Chief Editor. In like manner, effort to elicit response from Bello Mohammed, the Sarkin Hausa, Naraguta on the allegation against the Hausas was not possible as he told this magazine on phone that he was indisposed because he was having a meeting with the Plateau state Commissioner of Police at that moment.
