Plateau state Police Command parades 26
suspects, reiterates commitment to fighting crime.

The Plateau state
Command of the Nigerian Police Force on Friday paraded 26 suspects for their
alleged involvements in various types of crimes in the state.
Briefing journalists on
the achievement of the Command in the last one month, the state Commissioner of
Police, Isaac Akinmoyede disclosed that 10 suspects were arrested in a case of
criminal conspiracy, 5 suspects in a case of criminal conspiracy and
trafficking, 4 suspects in a case of criminal conspiracy and armed robbery 3 in
a case of criminal conspiracy and armed robbery, 2 in a case of unlawful
possession of counterfeit currency. 1 notorious suspected cultist in a case of
unlawful possession of fire arms and another suspected cultist in a case of
culpable homicide and unlawful possession of fire arms. The CP said that all
the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigation was concluded.
The Police thanked the
citizens of Plateau for their in making the fight against crime and criminality
easy for law enforcement agents adding that the command was poised to the
citizens better.
The Command further appealed to the people of
the state to shun acts of extra judicial killings by way of reprisal attacks. “An
offended party in a criminal matter should always bring his complaint before
the police for investigation and possible prosecution instead of taking laws
into his own hands," said the police boss.
