2019: Massive turn-out for PDP rally
in shendam as Useni reiterates commitment to Plateau Project

The Plateau
State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Gubernatorial Candidate and Senator representing Plateau South, Jeremiah Timbut Useni has
reiterated his commitment towards ensuring a better Plateau stressing that he
will never disappoint the people of the state when given the mandate to be the Governor.
Useni made this statement before a mammoth crowd in Shendam on the occasion of
the PDP Plateau South Zonal Campaign rally on Tuesday. In other to achieve his lofty goals for the
state, he promised to run an all-inclusive government where everyone will be
carried along in the art of governance.
Useni stated
that insecurity has drawn the state backward but will be given proper and
adequate attention unlike what he called lip service that is being paid by the
current Government in the state. He said he was ready to protect the interest
of the people of Plateau State adding that as an experienced military man, he
will not allow his people to be killed by those who don't wish well for the
State.
He said Gov.
Lalong has failed because he has not been able to initiate and complete a
single project in any of the local government areas in the state including
Shendam, Lalong’s local government of origin in almost 4 years of his
administration stressing that the only visible projects were those executed
during the PDP administration.
The
gubernatorial candidate further promised to pursue unity, peace, togetherness,
prosperity and massive infrastructural development.
Earlier in
his welcome address, the Plateau South Zonal Chairman of the PDP said that the
unprecedented crowd was an attestation that the people were ready to have a
more purposeful and visionary leaderships at all levels called on the people to
give their total support to the PDP during the general elections at all levels.
There were
goodwill messages from Senator Jonah David Jang, Senator representing Plateau
North Senatorial District, Hon, Beni Lar member, representing Langtang
North/Langtang South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon
Theophilus Dakas Shan, PDP Chairman, North Central Nigeria, Hon Kemi Nshe,
former Executive Chairman Shendam and gubernatorial aspirant during the 2018
party primaries among others.
