The Chairman of the All Blending Party, (ABP) Plateau State Chapter Hon. Raymond Amark has observed that Plateau State was going through its worst moment since its creation stressing that its honour and dignity was at its lowest ebb. He further observed that to restore its honour and glory at this trying time, the state needed bold decisions and life saving considerations for its greater good adding that the only person with the capacity of bringing Plateau State out of its current quagmire is General Jonathan Temlong, the governorship candidate under the platform of the Action Democratic Party (ADP).

Amark made this submission today at the ADP State Secretariat Jos in company of the State and Local Government Officials of the party to announce a pack with the ADP to support Temlong its gubernatorial candidate for the 2019 election. According to the ABN chairman, “I Hon. Amark the chairman ABP Plateau State Chapter and my state and local government executive have come here this morning to show our collective support to the Action Democratic Party (ADP) Gubernatorial candidate in the person of Brig-General Jon. “Having deliberated as ABP officials, we came to a conclusion on which way forward for the deliverance of Plateau from the challenges we are facing as a people therefore, our desire as Faithfull of the All Blending Party (ABP) is captured aptly by our party motto: Restore our honour and glory.
“We the State Party faithful under the guidance and coordination of the state Exco and LG leadership in good faith fielded for the position of the Governor in the 2019 Plateau State gubernatorial election. Now Plateau State Executive of All Blending Party did a deep reflection in line with our motto to restore Plateau hope and glory. We saw hope and a very big one when our brothers of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) fielded a man of distinction, a detribalized Nigerian, a security technocrat and a man of character Rtd. Brigadier General Jonathan Temlong Dss, fws. MMAS, OON.
“There are times in our lives where the Greater good overrides our little mundane considerations of money and just mere political participation. To Restore Plateau Honour and glory at these trying times need bold decisions and live saving consideration for Plateau greater good.

Having reflected and collectively we call on All Blending Party faithful especially our gubernatorial candidate and all our admirers to go for a greater good, align with a future assured with Brigadier General Jonathan Temlong.

Without religuishing our fight to support our party Presidential Candidate Hon. Moses Godiva Shipi, all our National and State Assembly Candidates, we hereby announce an irrevocable pact with ADP to support the Gubernatorial candidacy of Brigadier General Jonathan Temlong for the 2019 gubernatorial seat of Plateau State.

I call on the remaining 20 political parties including the ruling party to take a step in honour by following suit in adopting and working for Brigadier General Jonathan Temlong who by the grace of God would be sworn in as the Executive Governor Plateau State on 29th May 2019.”

Responding, Gen. Temlong congratulated the ABP and also appreciated the spirit of patriotism, dedication and loyalty of its members to the cause of Plateau as well as their belief in him to take Plateau to the promise land.
“You have taken a historic step and it is a great step for Plateau State. We thank you for the spirit of sacrifice.”
Temlong stated that the policy thrust of the ADP is on security and sustainable peace, good governance and development.
“Once we are able to provide security and sustainable peace and also give everybody good governance based on righteousness equity and transparency it means every body will be included. You who are coming today do not mean you are the last. You have equal stake as those who started this party. I want to assure you that we would be just to everybody; we will be equitable transparent and inclusive.

The Governorship candidate emphasized that if given the mandate, development during his Government will be based on a people centred approached. “If given the mandate, the people will tell my government what their needs are; not the government telling you what your needs are. Government will always consult with you in taking any decision. You will be part and parcel of governance; you will be part and parcel of decision making process. Everybody will feel a sense of belonging”. He said

The ADP gubernatorial candidate further stated that there was the need to bequeath a legacy to our children. According to him, “we will not want that at the end of the time which we are all buried that our children would look at our graves and abuse us that we are the ones who ruin their today and their future. Now that you are here, we can work together to give a better future for our children. A future that they deserved.
“This is not something that we are doing out of selfish interest. No, it is out of patriotic desire and zeal to salvage Plateau and ensure that the dignity of the Plateau man is restored. We have all the opportunities that God has given us to exploit our potentials in secured and peaceful atmosphere.

“We don’t want to see women and children being discriminated. We don’t want to see people being discriminated on account of their religion because religion is a personal conviction”.

He urged the gathering to go for more disciples stressing that when it’s time to vote, people should vote wisely and make sure that their vote counts. “Nobody should on account of anything intimidate you. Nobody should tamper with your vote. And by so doing, together, we will match on to Government House in 2019”.
Earlier in his welcome address, the state chairman of the ADP, Hon. Gideon Adamu said ABP took a wise decision stressing that the party was well structured and has a lot of positive programmes in its manifesto. He said that the party is an all inclusive one and has as a matter of policy, reserved 50 per cent of its elective positions to youths and women. Adamu said that one of the cardinal policy of the party is its supremacy over its members adding that this has become possible as the party has refused to be hijacked by money bags and ensured a level playing ground for all its members as every member is seen as a co- owner of the party
