Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau state is intensifying collaboration with the legislative arm in finalizing the appropriate legal frameworks to ensure that those that attack and murder innocent members of communities are brought to Justice.

Gov Lalong, in a statement issued by the State commissioner of Information & Communication Hon. Yakubu Dati, said the review of the criminal justice act will ensure quick dispensation of justice, without fear or favour.

On the recent attack in Rayfield, Dati also conveyed the condolences of the Governor to all those who lost their loved ones and property as well as the injured that were visited by government in the hospital.

He urged religious groups, and NGOs engaged in various peace initiatives not to relent in their efforts, but to sustain their advocacy, just as security agencies were also making frantic effort to unravel the assailants.

Lalong further called on members of the public to be vigilant and unite against criminal elements who are bent on taking the state back to the dark days.
