PLSG PUTTING IN PLACE STRATEGIES TO
EASE BUSINESS TRANSACTION IN THE STATE

The Plateau
state Government is said to be putting in place strategies to fast track ease
of doing business in Plateau State.
Gov Simon
Lalong is said to have stated this in a one-day Sensitization forum on
Business enabling environment and investment climate in Plateau State organized
by the Plateau Investment and Property Development Company (PIPC).
A statement
by Yakubu Dati commissioner for Information and communication stated that the
Governor who was represented at the occasion by the Deputy Governor, Prof Sonni
Tyodden, said agencies like Plateau Small and Medium Enterprises
Development Agency (PLASMEDA) were established to deal with issues that hinder
the economic development of the State.
According to
the statement, Lalong said Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) play
an important role in driving economic growth.
It added that in a keynote address, the
Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Joshua Madaki
commended Gov Simon Lalong for stepping up the ranking of Plateau State in the
ease of doing business whereas Mrs. Zinab Waziri of SENID-GIZ, supporters of
the event in her remarks said they provide the German model of entrepreneurship
and business model.
According to
the statement, the Plateau State Chambers of commerce, Industry, Mines and
Agriculture (PLACCIMA) in a goodwill message said the sensitization forum is to
increase awareness of decision makers and key players in bureaucracy on key
business enabling environment and investment climate issues and need for quick
reforms.
