PLATEAU NORTH SENATORIAL DISTRICT: I AM
RESPONDING TO THE CALL OF MY PEOPLE – I.D. GYANG.

The Plateau North Senatorial
aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Hon. Istifanus
D. Gyang said it became imperative upon him to respond to the call of the
people of the zone to vie for the senatorial seat.
He made this statement today while
addressing members of the Press at the Plateau State Secretariat of the PDP
after his formal declaration.
On the incessant crises that have
plagued the zone, Gyang said that indeed, Plateau North is one of the complex
senatorial zones in the country given its complex and plurality. Consequently,
he believed the zone needs an astute, versatile and creative person to build
positively on the complexity and plurality for the benefit of the people
stressing that he had the capacity to do just that.
He said the security situation in
the zone is a new wave of terrorism and has to be tackled just the same way
other forms of terrorism are tackled.

The aspirant added that when
given the mandate to represent the zone at the red chamber, he will create a
platform for dialogue and it will be done in such a way that adversity would be
turn to harmony.
On his decision to contest the
senatorial seat against his former boss, Gyang said the democratic space in
Nigeria does not give room to what is call “boss”.
Hon. I.D. Gyang is currently a
member of the House of Representatives, representing Riyom/Barkin Ladi and is
said to have performed creditably well at the green chamber.
