Jos, said nobody can influence him to tilt the cause of Justice. Justice Longji
made this statement today in an open court before the commencement of the
ruling of bail application by Senator Jonah David Jang, who is standing trial
in a matter bordering on alleged corruption and embezzlement of funds to the
tune of N6.3 million.
He said it has become imperative to make the
clarification for the fact that he has been bombarded with text messages that
he has been bribed by the APC government and has also succumbed to the might of
the Federal Government on the matter. Reading the Bible in the book of Joshua
5:13, the Judge said he is neither for Jang nor the Federal Government but a
servant of God holding a sword of Justice “and I tell you, nobody can influence
me” he said.
Justice Longji also advised the press to
always get the records of the court correctly to avoid mis-representation. He
expressed disenchantment over the way and manner he was mis-quote or quoted out
of context in some sections of the media, especially the social media.
