Hon. Leonard Dilkon told
Justice David Mann of High Court 3 Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, today that his marriage with Mrs. Joy
Dilkon had broken irretrievably for a long time because she has been committing
adultery with one Evangelist Danjuma Goshwe Fwenji to a point that Fwenji
impregnated his wife, but that they aborted the pregnancy, he added.
Hon. Dilkon said this under
cross examination by Mrs. J. L. Usoroh, Counsel to Mrs. Joy Dilkon (who is the
petitioner in a divorce case also in the same court). He said that his marriage
with Joy was blissful until she met Evang. Danjuma Fwenji whom he further
described as a “fake man of God and home breaker and is fond of hypnotizing
women”.
He also said that he was not
aware that his wife had an ailment that defied medical solution. He further
denied refusing the petitioner to visit their three children at school for the
period of five years that they have lived separately, adding that he even
guaranteed her a visit to the children in writing but with a caveat that the
Petitioner can only visit them in school but should not take them to where she
is currently staying because she can influence them negatively.
Also responding to why he
removed the petitioner’s name as a signatory to a joint account, he said that
he was solely funding that account and it became necessary for him to remove
her name as signatory when he realized that she had involved herself with a
fake man of God.
The case was adjourned to 6th
and 9th of December, 2016.
