In a strong move to ensure academic excellence and encourage students in Kanke local government area of Plateau State to further their studies, Hon. Jiritmwa Goyit has paid for JAMB registration fee for over 40 of them.
The event which took place on 2nd February, 2024 at Government Secondary School (GSS) Kabwir in Kanke local government area was witnessed by stakeholders.
Speaking to African Drum, Hon. Goyit, a politician and business woman said the move was a token of her appreciation to God for an added year and His many other blessings.
"For this reason, I thought it's necessary to extend a hand of support to reduce the burden of parents in the laying of a solid foundation for the future of our children through the attainment of proper education to the university level beginning from today", Hon. Goyit said.
All the beneficiaries who spoke to us appreciated the kind gesture of Hon. Goyit saying her sacrificial heart is second to none. They further urged her to keep up the good work and prayed that the Lord reward her labour of love to Kanke people.

While pundits have identified education as the panacea for addressing societal ills such as banditry, armed robber, political thuggery and other vices, other stakeholders constantly posit that assisting children of the less privilege to get quality education and acquire knowledge will break the shackles of poverty in the society.
