I am happy I represented my people well, says Baba Hassan as he appreciates journalists for success

The outgoing member representing Jos North/North in the Plateau State House of Assembly (PLHA), under the platform of the ruling All Progressive Congress - APC, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Baba Hassan has appreciated God for sparing his life and making it possible for him not to abuse the mandate given to him by the constituents.

The Honourable member expressed his appreciation at his residence in Rayfield Jos when he invited journalists to equally appreciate them for the coverage they provided him within the period he has been the House. 

Hassan who has been in the state Assembly for sixteen years, making him the longest serving legislator in Plateau State House Assembly since the advent of the democratic dispensation in 1999 also appreciated his constituents for giving him the opportunity to serve them and contribute to the growth of democracy. 

He also thanked the Press for credible reportage and the partnership which he said has helped immensely in creating a good rapport between him and the people as well as projecting his activities to the world.

He said that as legislator, the positive criticisms by the press had strengthened and make him more focused throughout the 16 years he has been in the House.

The former Deputy Speaker of PLHA  said, "I have entered into a contract  with the peace loving people of the state in the last 16 years to legislate on issues that touch the lives of the common citizens and to  support  democratic journey and I have done that successfully through the will of God and the contribution of you journalists.

"It is the reason why I want to appreciate you today. You have been great and wonderful partners and I also want to let you know that I want this partnership to continue".

The lawmaker called on the citizens of Plateau and Nigeria as a whole to support the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu noting that the administration of President Tinubu has positive plans towards revamping the moribund industries in  Nigeria.

He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for removing the fuel subsidy and the way and manner he is handling the agitations arising therein.

“President Tinubu has taken a bold step worth of commendation by removing the oil subsidy and the manner is currently handling the agitations occasioned by the removal.

"At this moment the President needs the support of all  Nigerians to get the country back on track".

Hon.baba-Hassan also tendered his  apology to whoever he might have offended in the cause of carrying his constitutional duties as a legislator.

Hon. Ibrahim Baba Hassan who contested the  Jos North /Bassa Federal Federal  Constituency seat but lost to Hon. Musa Avia Agah  stated that he would concentrate on his private business.

He however added he was ready to serve country in any capacity any time he is called upon to do that.

The invited journalists took turn to pray for the legislator.
