The matter was instituted on account of the fallout of the APC Gubernatorial Primary conducted on June 26, 2022 at Langsfield Event Centre Rayfield Jos.

Dissatisfied with the whole process,  and in line with the Electoral Act 2022, the Plaintiff approached the Federal High Court  seeking among other reliefs, the nullification of the excercise which saw the emergence of the 2nd Respondent, Nentanwe Yilwatda for not meeting the requirements of the law.

Barr Abbah, Counsel for Dr. Sarpiya Danyaro briefing his client after Court session while Chief Amos Gizo, Hon. Podar Johnson and other personalities listened with keen interest

African Drum reports that When the matter came up today, Counsel for the APC and Dr. Nentanwe Yilwatda or  1st and 2nd Respondents told the court that  each of them had an application for the extension of time to file their Counter Affidavits and Memorandum of appearances.

With no objection from Counsel of parties involved in the matter, the applications were moved and eventually granted by the court in the spirit of fairness and justice.

Consequently, Justice Dorcas Agishi adjourned the matter until October 13, 2022 for hearing.
