Sen. Bukola Saraki, Presidential aspirant addressing Plateau delegates in Jos on Monday
Frontline politician and Presidential hopeful in the 2023 general elections under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Bukola Saraki said he was the only person who can solve insecurity problems in the country.
The former President of the Senate and two-times governor of Kwara state said this while addressing PDP delegates to the presidential convention in Jos the Plateau State capital on Monday. Speaking further, Saraki said the North Central was one of the worst hit region by insecurity and herders clashes and also backward reason being that the security situation scares investors away and that if given the opportunity, would will fix it and not only fixing the North Central but Nigeria as a whole. He said the security problems were enormous and required a person that knows the country very well to be able to address the menace effectively and urged the delegates to joined hands and ‘fix Nigeria’ by voting him to win the Party’s presidential ticket.

"I know and have the solutions to Nigeria's problem and if given the chance I promise to fix it, because I have the entire template and if I have the template then I have the solution and the time for the North Central is now".
Saraki noted that the North Central has contributed immensely to ensured the emergence of all the Presidents the country has produced saying that this is the only time that other regions must equally support the North Central to produce the next President. He also recalled how his late father and late Solomon Lar worked relentlessly to unite the middle Belt and sustained peace in the country.
He furher said that it was as a result of this that prominent elders in the North endorsed him as a consensus candidate for the Zone. Saraki also said that because of his stance as a detribalize person is the reason why he suffered persecution during his four years as Senate president. He promised to revamp the economy and put the economy on the world map of posterity.

Earlier in his address, the Plateau State Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Chris Adukuchili Hassan revealed that Saraki was the reason for the sustainability of the party in the state and recalled series of interventions made by the former Senate President to the party in the state.

There were goodwill messages from Hon. Beni Lar, member representing Langtang North/Langtang South in the National Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Go'ar, former Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly who spoke on behalf of past speakers, Hon. Martina Dakur, Woman leader PDP and Hon. Nantip Padir, Plateau State Youth Leader of the PDP.
