The ruling All Progressive Congress APC has allegedly scheduled a re-run of Primary election for its aspirants for the Bye-Election for Jos North Bassa Federal Constituency.
The party excercise earlier scheduled for February 01 at Lamonde Hotel ended in stalemate after two of the there top contenders (Hon. Suleimain Kwande and Hon. Abbey Aku) scored a total vote cast of 344 each.
Consequently, this prompted the electoral Committee headed by Rt. Hon. Abu Ajia Saje to declare the excercise inconclusive stating that he would forward the outcome of the excercise to the national headquarters of the party and whatever decision taken thereafter, would be communicated to the aspirants.
African Drum learnt that the APC at the National level met on Thursday and looked into the report of the electoral Committee and approved a re-run to be conducted tomorrow, Friday 04, 2022.
However, both Kwande Abbey have continually expressed grievances after the conduct of the primary on Wednesday which each of them claiming to have won.
A source informed this medium that tomorrow excercise would witness the adoption of a new guidelines in addition to pruning down delegates. The excercise is also said to have been arranged to be conducted under heavy security.
