The governing council, staff and students of Al-Iman college of education, Jos were in a euphoria of joy and happiness, as the school held its maiden matriculation ceremony.
The event, which had in attendance both the internal and external publics of citadel was held Saturday, 19 February, 2022 at the school premises in Jos, the Plateau state capital.
The college matriculated 205 enrollees as its pioneer students.
In his speech, provost of the college, Dr. Muhammad Munir Ilyas disclosed that the college came into existence with the view to easing, facilitates and enhanced learning in a conducive environment, advising the students to contribute their quota to promote and protect the image of the institution.
He said the college will produce competent educators who will be committed and dedicated to help the upcoming generation to grow as God fearing, saying this would promote development in the country.
While pledging to work hand in hand with other stakeholders to provide what is needed, the provost charged the students to use the available resources provided to them, warning them not to engage themselves into illegal activities.
He further sough the support of both staff and students to help in making the college a citadel of learning.
