Quaan pan LG chairman expresses hope through prayers and sacrifice in Easter message

The Executive Chairman Quaan Pan LGC of Plateau State has felicitated with the people of the area and the country at large as they mark the year 2020 Easter, with a call on them to be united, obedient and prayerful in this challenging moments of Corona Virus (COVID-19) Pandemic.
The Executive Chairman who stated this in a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mathias Yengoet Dajan, said, “I felicitate with all inhabitants of Quaan Pan Local Government Area, as they join all Christians in marking this year’s Easter.

“We are indeed very mindful of the personal and collective inconveniences suffered by our people due to measures such as restriction of movements, unusual worship activities and closure of business premises.
“The COVID-19 Pandemic which has become a threat to “living the faith” and human existence in general, has left us struggling with mixed feelings due to measures taken by government at all levels and medical experts, especially the Total Lockdown order, which may hinder the usual ways of marking the Easter season.

“However, as we commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, I admonished us to also use this time to live the Christ-like virtues of love, sacrifice, forgiveness, humility, courage and endurance, which Christ embodied and remarkably demonstrated during His earthly ministry.

“I encourage that we disabuse our minds about the merriment, let us be more reflective and solemn this season, even as we seek the face of God amidst the trials, as Christ redemptive Spirit cleans the world.
“Being a matter of life and death, these sacrifices of adherence to government and medical directives are in everybody’s interest to save our local government and State from calamity.

Hon. Kwallu added his voice in saluting the “encouraging” containment and ameliorating strategies put in place by members of the Presidential, State and Local Government Task Force on COVID-19, individuals and groups who have demonstrated responsibility in the fight against the dreaded disease.
“Remember to adhere to the advice of health personnel and cooperate with Government officials to avoid the spread of Covid19.
“Please let's all take responsibility, our health is our priority, he stressed.
The Chairman congratulated Plateau State on the status of no confirmed case, wish all a blessed Easter season
