Gov Lalong closeness to President Buhari would benefits Plateau,
says Council boss.

Plateau state
stands to benefit immensely from the closeness of it's Governor, Rt. Hon. Simon
Bako Lalong to President Muhammadu Buhari. This was the submission of Dr. Ado
Abubakar, the executive chairman, Wase Local Government, Plateau state in a
chat with African Drum in Jos today.
" Buhari has
a peculiar policy of bringing state governors close to him. And our Governor is
a man of the people, the President too is a man of the people; so, the two have
something in common, that is why they are very close and have been working very
hard to actually improve the lot of the common man. So, I am not surprise at
their relationship because they share something in common", said Dr.
Abubakar.
He further stated
that every state stands on an advantageous position when its governor is in the
same direction with the President.
" When you
see your governor working in harmony with the president, you should expect a
lot of goodies, a lot of goodies from that relationship. So, as people who are
part of this government and also supporters of the APC, we are proud that the
Governor is doing the right thing by working hand- in-hand with Mr. President.
I am sure he is doing this for the benefit of Plateau state", he said.
The Chairman also
applauded the recent verdict of the Plateau State Election Petition Tribunal
that affirmed the election of Governor Lalong stressing that the panel was
thorough in deciding all the issues presented by all the parties involved in
the petition before it and in the end, came up with a sound judgment. On the
decision of Gen. JT Useni to appeal the judgment, Abubakar noted that it was
within the right of Useni to appeal the judgment if he so wish. He however,
assured that Lalong would be victorious at the appeal again. He therefore,
called on all lovers and supporters of the APC to remain calm and confident.
