The Senator-elect for Plateau North Senatorial District, Barr. I. D. Gyang has commended the electorates for coming out en-mass last Saturday and exercised their franchise.
Gyang, who  currently is  representing Riyom/ Barkin Ladi in the National Assembly made this commendation during a press conference in his house, in Little Rayfield, Jos South Local government area  of the State shortly after the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) released the results of the election in the zone , five days after its conduct.

He urged the people of the state to demonstrate greater enthusiasm in the next Saturday Governorship and states house of Assembly elections by coming out to vote out impunity that is being perpetuated by enemies of Democracy.
The legislator lamented that the destiny of Plateau state was at stake, adding that the need for people to use this opportunity to redesign the fortune of the state was imperative stressing that the only way to do it was is to vote PDP candidates in subsequent elections.

He appealed to the people not to be discouraged by the last attempt by the umpire to steal their mandate by holding hostage the results of the national assembly elections for the zone for five days.
He expressed optimism that the PDP will win the re-run election declared for Jos North/ Bassa Federal Constituency anytime INEC fixes a new date for the conduct of the poll.

Gyang said that as a Legislator, he would continue to build strong relationship among communities and promote good legislation that will affect the well being of the people positively as well as ensuring that equity, fairness and unity remains his cardinal driven goals.
