The Governorship candidate of All Blending Party (ABP), in Rivers state, Prince Allison Kalada has described the appointment of the former Governor of the Rivers state and current Minister of Transport, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Ameachi as the Director General of the Campaign Council for President Muhammadu Buhari re-election bid in 2019 as an indication of failure on the part of the APC.

According to Kalada , "Amaechi being the Director General of President Buhari  re-election bid in 2019 is a pure indication of failure.  What can a man who could not win a free and fair election in his state do in the national election?," he asked rhetorically.

Speaking to Journalists after the ABP meeting held in Jos over the weekend, he said both the PDP under Governor Wike and the APC under Ameachi have failed the people of Rivers State.
"As far as Rivers State is concerned, ABP has taken over.  The loyalty of both APC and PDP followers is cosmetic, more so because of the financial benefits but in their inner hearts, they are with us and their votes are for me.  Even Ameachi and Wike know this.  The people of Rivers State know I'm the one God has chosen to be their next Governor come 2019".

"I will grow rivers state, I will return the state to the Garden city we all used to know; everyone will be carried along, everyone including the old people in the villages because they too deserve to have a better live. They deserve 24 hours electricity, they deserve proper health care, they deserve a proper balanced diet daily. The state belongs to us all, therefore, we cannot be blessed and at the same time be suffering". He said

Allison stated that he would take responsibility of failure in the event of it stressing that his government would not put blames on any group or individuals. "If Rivers state fails during my tenure (which I know it will not), I will take full responsibility for my failure. Rivers state have what it takes to make lives and property safe, we have what it takes to make our citizens live comfortably without having to beg to eat. We have what it takes to create jobs for our graduates, we have what it takes to train the unskilled once and get them off the street".

When you fight poverty, you have succeeded in fighting insecurity. It's that simple. The police will have little or no job to do and the state will be peaceful".
