Correspondents Chapel exits Plateau state government’s whattsapp platform.

The correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of
Journalists Plateau state Council has exited Plateau, Ministry of Information
whattsapp platform. This came as a result of a directive by its Chairman, Aminu
Yusufu Idegu on the platform a moment ago, calling on all members to comply
immediately.
According to Idegu, “the correspondents Chapel has met and
reviewed the nature of media management of this administration and realized
that it is unethical for journalists to use press statement from WhattsApp
source as story. I therefore direct that all members of correspondents Chapel
registered on this Ministry for information WhattsApp platform to exit himself
immediately. Any member that failed to comply with this directive will be
sanctioned accordingly. Thank you for complying”.
