The Plateau state commissioner of Science and Technology, Hon Dan Majang has described the signing into law of the Act establishing the Federal School of Medical Laboratory Technology Science, Jos by the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, as progressive and a landmark decision that is commendable.

In a press release signed by him, the Honorable Commissioner commended all those that were instrumental toward achieving the feat.

“May I use this opportunity to commend all progressive elements that have been instrumental in one way or the other to seeing that this fete is achieved notable among many, the Rescue Team Captain, Rt Hon (Dr) Simon Bako Lalong, Executive Governor of Plateau State and the late Senator Gyang Dalyop Dantong, Senator representing Plateau North Senatorial District and then Chairman, Senate Committee on Health of the seventh National Assembly, to mention a few. Plateau people are indeed grateful.” He said

Continuing, Dan Majang stated that the gesture will go a long way in correcting the education imbalance that existed in the state in that field of study and called on Plateau people to take advantage of the law to avail themselves of the services of the institution.

He added, “May I also call on the management of the institution ably led by Obong Dr Sunday Etukudo to abide by the rules of engagement as it affects student admission and employment which he has done well thus far.”
