FRANCE VS URUGUAY: FIFA APPOINTS AMAJU
PINNICK MATCH COMMISSIONER

The president of the Nigeria
Football Federation (NFF) and member, Confederation of African Football (CAF),
Mr. Amaju Pinnick has been appointed as the Match commissioner in the first
game of the quarter final match between France and Uruguay scheduled for
tomorrow Friday.
Pinnick, also a member of the
organizing committee for FIFA competitions commissioned group phase encounter
between Portugal and Iran in Saransk on Monday last week as well as the group G
match between Tunisia and Panama in the same city on Thursday.
On Tuesday, 3rd July,
2018, Pinnick was in charge of the encounter between Sweden versus Switzerland
in the round of 16 at Saint Petersburg which is Pinnick’s original centre at
the FIFA 2018 World Cup.
The NFF president will also take
charge of the first semi final match, scheduled for Saint Petersburg’s Zenit
Arena on Tuesday 10th July, 2018 as well as the 3rd place
match at the same venue on Saturday, 14th July, 2018.
Pinnick who has been nominated
for the CAF 1st vice president following the resignation of Kwesi
Nyantakyi is said to be a big step towards his being elected as member of the
FIFA Council, the most powerful group in World Football.
