EKITI 2018: GROUP EXPRESSES CONCERN OVER CONDUCT OF SECURITY PERSONNEL.

Ekiti is prepared for Saturday, July 24 governorship election. Consequently, election observers are already on ground to keep an eye on the entire electoral exercise to ensure its credibility and the group, YIAGA AFRICA is leading the pack with its watching the vote election report series.

YIAGA AFRICA has expressed concern at the conduct of security personnel deployed for the election in Ekiti governorship election. The organisation through its watchingThevote (WTV) project made this known on Thursday, 12 July while informing the public of its deployment plans for the election.

In a statement which a copy was made available to African Drum the group lamented over the overzealous and hostile conduct of security personnel deployed to the state which it said was at variance with democratic norms.
