I WILL NOT REST UNTIL EVERY LIFE IS SECURED - LALONG.

Plateau State Governor Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong has given a
marching order to the security agents in the state to immediately
arrest and prosecute the criminals that perpetrated the killings of a couple of
persons in Bassa and Bokkos Local Government Areas of the state.
In a statement signed by the state commissioner of Information and
Communication, Hon. Yakubu Datti, said the Governor, who was live on NTA
network news on Saturday warned that the state will not condone the activities
of hoodlums who take advantage of conflicts among citizens to perpetrate
killings and destruction of property in the name of ethnic crisis stressing
that our differences are better resolved when we sit together and address them
instead of taking arms against one another.
He further warned that the state will not fold its arms and watch
the enemies of Plateau take us back to the dark old days when citizens distrust
one another, adding that we must emphasize on the great values that unite us as
a people.
While condoling with the families that lost their loved ones in
the attacks, the Governor assured that urgent steps are being taken in
collaboration with the security agents to get to the roots of the problem to
avoid the repeat of the ugly incident and urged citizens not to take the laws
in their hands, but to be vigilant and report the activities of the criminals
to the security agents for proactive actions.
