NURTW boss assures travellers of effective transportation during Easter
period

The Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers,
Plateau State Chapter, Alhaji Yushu’a Mohammed has assured travelers during the
period of Easter of effective transportation.
Speaking to African
Drum in Jos on Wednesday, the Chairman said that the Union has made it a
point of duty to enlighten drivers most especially during occasions such as
Easter on the need to avoid over loading and to observe speed limit and traffic
rules and regulations as well as other road signs.
According to him, the development has really helped as the
year 2018 has recorded low accident rate than the previous year.
Mohammed also appreciated and commended his members on the significant
role they played in the distribution of election and other sensitive material
during the 2019 general election.
He further advised members of the Union to always cooperate
with security operatives and seek their assistance whenever the need arises.
